Dr. Stephen Dalton

Dr. Dalton graduated from Swarthmore College with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa. He was the recipient of a Medical Scientist Training Program fellowship from the National Institutes of Health, and attended Columbia University, where he received his M.D. and a Ph.D. in cellular, molecular, and biophysical studies. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Subsequently, he completed a residency in dermatology and a research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Dalton was appointed assistant clinical professor of dermatology at UCSF following the completion of his residency. Subsequently, he began a private practice in dermatology. He joined Novato Dermatology Associates in 2004.
Dr. Dalton has extensive experience in all areas of dermatology, including adult and pediatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He also has over 16 years of experience in cosmetic dermatologic procedures including laser and intense-pulsed light photo-rejuvenation, Botox, dermal fillers, and sclerotherapy.
Dr. Dalton is the coauthor of several articles published in the medical literature regarding dermatologic disorders associated with scarring. He has been a speaker at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (board-certified) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Dalton is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality dermatologic care. He regularly participates in continuing medical education courses to maintain board certification and to stay abreast of the latest developments in dermatology. He thoroughly enjoys getting to know his patients, many of whom subsequently refer their family and friends to the practice.
Dr. Dalton was named a “Top Doctor” in the San Francisco bay area by San Francisco Magazine, January 2016 issue, and in the Bay Area Consumer’s Checkbook for 2015. Dr. Dalton was also selected as a “Top Doctor” by Marin Magazine in a survey of other physicians in Marin County and the bay area.
